ForaCare Fora 6 Connect Mobile App for iOS and Android
Fora 6 Connect by ForaCare is a multi-parameter blood monitoring system. This Bluetooth-enabled device supports five types of test strips, enabling users to perform six different blood tests. The meter is both CE and FDA-cleared and integrated with the MedM health monitoring app for iOS and Android. Readings can be automatically captured from the Fora 6 Connect and saved to the user's smartphone or tablet and, optionally, backed up to MedM Health Cloud. Fora 6 Connect users can track their blood sugar, cholesterol, hematocrit, hemoglobin, ketone, and uric acid levels directly on their smartphone or computer screen. Results can also be exported as a file and shared with a doctor.
All data in MedM Health Cloud is encrypted and protected from unauthorized access. Users can set reminders for making measurements and/or taking medication. MedM Premium Members can additionally sync the recorded Fora 6 Connect measurements with Apple Health and Google's Health Connect, as well as share access to their health record with other trusted users, such as family members or caregivers. Premium Members can also set thresholds for every measurement type, and opt in to receive notifications when the thresholds are violated.

How to Connect ForaCare Fora 6 Connect with MedM App
Activating Bluetooth on Fora 6 Connect
Start with the meter switched off. Insert a test strip to turn on the meter. Wait for the screen to display the Drop icon and the Bluetooth indicator to start flashing. Remove and dispose of the test strip. Bluetooth can also be activated by entering the Memory Mode (when memory is not empty). Press and release the M button to enter the memory mode then the Bluetooth indicator will flash.
Pairing Fora 6 Connect Meter with MedM App
- Open the app menu -> select My Devices -> tap Add Device
- Activate Bluetooth on your Fora 6 Connect
- Once the Fora 6 Connect is discovered - select it, configure device settings, and tap Add to My Devices
- Upon successful pairing a corresponding popup will appear
- The paired Fora 6 Connect will be listed on the My Devices screen
- Make a measurement on the Fora 6 Connect to collect new data in the app
Please note that the app has to be running in foreground or background (configurable in settings) to receive new readings from the Fora 6 Connect unit.
